New National Smile Month UK campaign announced |
 The leading dental health charity in the UK has launched a new campaign for 2010.National Smile Month UK, which is the brainchild of the British Dental Health Foundation (BDHF), will this year carry the slogan of Teeth4Life, highlighting the importance of having good oral health. It will also stress to people around the UK the importance of having a healthy diet and how this can improve a person's quality of life. The campaign will run between May 16th and June 16th, and will also encourage dental professionals to play their part by promoting their practices and encouraging regular visits by patients. Dr Nigel Carter, BDHF chief executive, said that when the first Smile campaign was launched over 35 years ago, one in three people over the age of 16 had no teeth at all. The National Smile Month website carries useful tips on how dental professionals can plan, budget and register their event with the BDHF.  |
